I would touch you
If I wasn't afraid
I would sleep
If I wasn't afraid
I would not look away
Or put myself out as a freak
If I wasn't afraid
I would let myself dream

I'd not play pretend

I'd eat apples and cream
And deliver the letters I've been meaning to send
