Some quotes I really like:

"Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies." -Aristotle
"Every man dies. Not every man really lives." -William Wallace
"Sanity is madness put to good use." -George Santayana

I open my hand,
Revealing a thought.
It's dull and pale,
Reluctantly wrought.
And behind locked doors.,
I may learn to live.
And I guess I'll endure
This sorrow you give.

This pain I feel
Is what helps me survive.
So I guess I'll continue on,
Continue to keep this existance alive.
And I don't believe I've ever felt
This way before.
So I think I'll let fad
This pointless war.

I open my hand,
Revealing a thought.
It's dull and pale,
Reluctantly wrought.
And now I know.
My struggles were futile.
I finally see
How the ice we were treading on was far too fragile.

The author's comments:
This was inspired by a friend I had. We were very close, but over time we started to go our seperate ways. We tried to force our relationship, and it didn't work out. Now, every time I read this poem, I wonder if I maybe could've been a bit of a better friend. I'll never know.
