If Not For Love
If not for love the hope would fade, lye falling across the distance. If not for love we would shatter short and to the point. Like whispers we cling to the essence of closeness. Forward into contempt, You wait sorrowfully tired and quenched. Lie to him or her we will, but not until it has come to a stand still. Cheated broken heart Thy must feel. If not for love you would have stayed, far from hate or dismay. Life would seem bleak in many ways, but you in all would have had your way. If not for love she said in tears I would have kept the will to speak for right or wrong in any shape.
