A Lonely Meadow

June 6, 2011
In a meadow that stands alone,
Where a single tree has grown.
The birds soar through the sky,
Flowers bloom and butterflies fly.
Beautiful yes, but lonely too.
Where no one is ever there for you.
Solitary life is not the way,
Sitting by yourself day by day.
This could change if you try,
To let someone in, to help you by.
A pretty picture will not make you content.
So receive the gift that someone has sent.
Let God in to change your life.
He'll take away your pain and strife.
Don't just be a single tree.
Connect your roots to God and see,
His love is the way to live and be.
