Light in the Dark
The air is thick with smoke
The night is a blanket of darkness
There is no color in the sky
Only black, black, black.
The streets are hot asphalt
The houses a somber gray.
There is no happiness in the town
Only black, black, black.
The flowers have wilted and died
Only ravens bother to stick around
There is no life in the garden
Only black, black, black.
But in a room in a gray house
Located in the very back
There sits a candle burning bright
There is hope, hope, hope.
