SPIDER
Back and forth, through webs we roam,
Our backs arched across a flat plane.
For the first time, I don’t feel so alone.
 With a parachute-like crash, I feel insane

And I realize the only thing I know is:
I know not of what comes in the end,
But only this moment murmurs, this
Moment. Back and forth, my legs unbend.

The musk of the air fills my lungs,
 Keeping the carcinogens company.
And it’s almost like songs we’ve sung
On our happy dollars and coins and pennies

With my eyes closed, I sense I’m home
You prickle and trickle across my spine
Back and forth, through webs we roam,
Like two love-struck spiders lost in time.
