each smile, each laugh
she shares with you
causes my heart to stop
each tear, each fight
you get into
causes my heart to stop
i want, i need, i strive for
your love and care for me
i watch, i wait, i wonder
if we were ever meant to be
my patience is wearing out
and my love is growing deep
my heartache is apparent
my tears fill up knee deep
i sit, i wait, i wonder
hoping for the day
when i look around the corner
and the pain is washed away
