One Night
I fell asleep
and it's as if
something went wild
in my mind

I began to see images
Of things I've never seen
A wild imagination
As though it would seem

And as I thought to myself
What it was called
A voice came and said
This is a dream

And as I stood bewildered
Of where the voice came
All of the sudden
It began to rain

And as I began to think
How this could be
The came and said
You control what you see

So I began to picture
Something magnificent
Something wonderful
Something significant

I pictured a world
Amazingly green
It was the most beautiful thing
I had ever seen

And in an instant
It all went away
and I began to shout, NO!
I wanted to stay

But then I realized
It was time to rise
So I left the dream
And opened my eyes

From that day forth
I look forward to sleep
So I can return
To the world I seek

So I can return
To that wonderful thing
That magnificent world
That is called a dream
