I Am From
I am from hockey in the street to hockey at the police station./
From neighbors past and present./
I am from breaking my neighbors’ window and receiving the worst punishment of my entire life./
From making the middle school soccer team to playing golf for the high school./
From my first broken bone and the most painful experience of my life./
I am from being lazy and not caring./
From Wildwood vacations filled with fudge and Pizza Hut./
I am from late, bug filled nights of late inning baseball with the sound of crickets./
From my first NASCAR race with my dad to becoming a die hard fan./
From Fourth of July fireworks in our backyard./
I am from that big house on that mostly quiet dead end street./
From the swings in the backyard to the pool on the deck./
From late, frustrating nights sitting up doing homework that my family nor I could even dream about figuring out./
I am from watching the Devils win the Eastern Conference Finals on the big screen in the ESPN Zone in Disney./
From thought of running away because I juscouldn't’t take it anymore./
I am from being antagonized by my brother non stop for the last ten years of my life./
From NHL 11 and FIFA 10 championships that don’t seem like much of an accomplishment to anybody but me./
From never giving up, and attempting to persevere through anything and everything you can possibly think of./
