In Am From
I am from imagination, a place where "why's" are why not's"/
and I'm head in command.
I am from 90's kid's wear, where all the clothes were ugly.
I am from nickelodeon, where all the best shows used to be.
I am from my grandpa's corny jokes,/
to my grandma's delicious cooking.
I am from childish bathroom humor,/
From thinking skateboarding is cool./
I am from eating whatever I desired because my metabolism was so fast./
I am from baseball, if it were a lifestyle to music, which is my lifestyle./
I am from awkward middle school days,/
From awkward teen hormonse,/
From awkward parent conversations.
I am from the cutest puppy dog in the world./
I am from the suburbs of New Jersey, on a street where little kids were always running about,/
From having nothing in common with my neighbors./
I am from a huge backyard with a great hill for sledding.
I am from some of the coldest winters to hottest summers,/
From the most comfortable falls and springs./
I am from the church around the corner, where everyone meant well, but still somehow got on your nerves./
I am from a family of introverts, but the mom is an extravert./
I am from happiness found in alone time,/
From not being good enough for people when I am being myself./
I am not of this world.
