Life is like reading the dictionary

To read the entire book would be quite an accomplishment 
Everyone wants to do it
Most people start 
but never get very far

It's thought to give you ultimate knowledge 
If you finish 

Yet who could know?

Life is like reading a dictionary 
Many try
Many fail
But it's the journey that makes the story

The author's comments:
The idea for this poem just popped into my head and it caught my attention. Everyone dreams about being the biggest and the best of all, much like people talk about how they are going to read the dictionary. But in the end people settle for less seeing that reading an entire dictionary is quite an accomplishment but not worth it in the long run.

Hey! I've thought of reading the dictionary and actually pulling it through! Never have and I don't think I ever will. Haha. Very true what you say. I love the metaphor. Awesome poem :)!!
