Dead Brown Eyes
I look into his eyes.
But I don't feel it anymore.
That spark.
That flutter in my stomach.
When did I stop feeling
like we would be in love forever.
It was when
he got dark circles under his eyes
his beautiful brown eyes
It was when he was too stoned
to tell me he loved me anymore.
My love for him went down the drain
when he said I should do it too.
"It will bring us closer together"
he used to say.
If only that were true.
I miss him.
But I know he's gone.
His angelic soul
is ripped and washed away
by the curse
of smoke and powder
Never to look into his eyes again.
Those beautiflul brown eyes.
