Life of War

I hear the sounds of war just outside,
I try to ignore it, but it speaks with screams and cries.
I sit in solitude as I wait for silence,
but the whispers of the bullets can still be found.
I want them to leave yet, they still kill around.
My life is glass that they have thrown away.
I pray to God, who seems to have turned away.
But still I pray for a better day.
