You came into my heart,
and opened my eyes.
Then you ripped me apart,
and filled me with lies.

You said you loved me
when I cried,
said you'd care for me,
but you lied.

You filled my heart
with our memories,
and many in part,
cause me misery.

You caressed me
so effortlessly,
yet you left me
so disdainfully.

You slayed me with
your lethal words,
For you had me bound
like a flightless bird.

I was chained,
and you were free,
I writhed in pain,
and you continued gleefully.

I was inspired to write this poem because at that point in time I was in an unhealthy relationship.
