Brilliant Sun

Have you ever stared up to the heavens,
day or night, looking for it?
Have you ever really pondered how
much you need and desire it?
Or have you ever thought what
life would be like without it?
Without the sun, there would be
no loving or care to share,
nor any air, or in fact
many people's hair!
But without the sun, there would be no
me, no you, no one at all.
Without the sun, you nor I,
could share a smile,
nor would you ever be
in total denial that
without the sun there
would be none.
