I can’t help but to ask “Is it partly because of me?”
As you’re quickly downing drink number three.
You say it causes you to feel…free,
But have you ever considered what it does to the family?
It burns us to the third degree
Especially when you constantly say you want to flee
Though I can never fully tell if that threat is only temporary.
This is yet another plea
If you decided to stop, it would make me beyond happy
And maybe, just maybe,
Then I could question in a changed manner,
“Is it partly because of me?”
