makeup
Everyday you wash away
The makeup of today,
The bruises come out,
It hides the life of pain,
Lipstick hides her shallow lips,
Like a fish
on a
hook
Spend life hiding behind make up,
To cover frustrations,
To cover your life,
Put makeup on me,
So they won’t see
And they can’t judge me
Just what they see,
Then I ask does the makeup hide me?
