Safehouse
Not crutches, but tools
To build a comfortable structure
Not the same old story
I’ve tried without
And I find the world
Dull
Lethargic
And unsatisfying
It's quite depressing
I take pride in the battle scars
Not bragging or boasting
But contemplating smugly
Maybe I’ll go without someday
But for now they’re close and dear
Not only existing, but living
