The Party

Brown hair,
Blue eyes,
Curls bobbing up and down.
She's dressed in a beautiful gown.

It's her party today.
She is now fifteen.
Her parents do not care,
'Cuz they are not there.

"Where could they be?"
You may ask.
Dad is working.
Mom is out smoking.

Friends gather 'round,
To see the gifts she got.
'Fore she even gets started,
She knows it isn't what she wanted.

Love.
Passion.
Where could they be?
She asks herself, "Why don't they love me?"

They're all gone now.
No one's around.
A tears begins to fall,
And there isn't a way to stop it at all.

Poor, sad teenage girl.
Lost her family,
Lost her world.
