When the sky is dark and the moon is gone
Don’t give up for there will soon be a dawn.
When there seems no end to this awful fight
Look toward the east, for there will soon come light.
When you feel tired weak and powerless
Just remember that we are here for you and you are not friendless.
When you want to give up and just sit down and cry
Listen to the lord, and ignore the devils lies.
If it seems as the rain will never cease to fall
Stand up, don’t budge, and stand above it all
Listen to your heart, and dance within the storm,
And when you become cold, know that the lord will keep you warm
Hold on to your dreams, don’t let them float away
Your pain will soon be gone: your enemies will pay.
And after you’ve won, the sun will finally appear,
And it will melt away all your worries and all of your tears.
