I felt like I needed to leave
and for once you didn't stop me.
You actually rushed me out of the house and so I got in my car
and drove home as fast as I could because all I wanted was to run in my room
and put a pillow over my head
and wake up when it was saturday.
And on the way home,
I threw the flowers out of the window and then I ran them over a second after.
The heavy breathing and confused yet understood looks
all made sense to me
in an all too familiar way.
But this time, none of it was familiar. I didn't recognize this sort of feeling and I still don't
but that was friday
and this is monday
and it no longer matters.
