It always hurts
When a best friend
Who you've know forever
Leaves

But how do you feel
When a new friend
Who you just met
Is gone?

You'd say "It's fine"
"I didn't know them"
"It's not like we were real"
"Close"

But people forget
When a new friend leaves
You won't get to know them
At all

You will never get a chance
To understand them
To make them a new
Best friend

Because they are gone
After a month when you met
You'll never get to be
True friends

It's sad
Just sad
It's just plain
Sad

I am in 8th grade at a Jr/Sr high school, and I got to be in one of the high school plays. I met a bunch of Seniors, and made a lot of new friends about a month ago. They all just graduated. And I am sad, because I miss them so much.
