Why do people look past me?
Is it my appearance, or is it the fact that I’m so bright?
Is it because I glare at the ones in my way? Maybe…
Why do they block me off, when I shine the most?
I’m so dirty; I wish someone would wash me for oncee
I’ve been sitting here too long now
I can’t move due to the frame they imprisoned me in.
When you see me falling or just plain breaking down
Don’t try to build me up from what I already am
Feel free to just throw me away.
