Angel of Death

Splendor
Black winged angel
Feathery banded tail
Midnight necklace on snowy chest
Fiery eyes

Circles
Watching waiting
Hover, missing nothing
Dancing gracefully in heaven
Ready

Diving
Raging bullet
Plunging towards the target
Thinking only catch, grip, squeeze.
Focus

Prepare
Feet up, head down
Gliding on angled wings
Black hooked beak lets out hunting call,
Surface

Reaching
Barbed talons grasp
Feel flesh under hard scales
Clutch the plump, wretched, squirming beast
Smell blood

Wing beat
Rising up, out
Don't relinquish the prize
Heaven nears slowly, reach cover
Holding

Death grip
No escaping
The ultimate ending
Within angel's talons lies death
Bring life

Hey. I love how you can just read the first an last line of every paragraph, and get a perfect 'instruction' on how a great winged bird catches prey. I think the angel reference is a great idea. You have an interesting way of combining (seeming) facts with poetry.

this is really cool. it sounds like you either have a really good menatal image due to studying alot about this stuff... or you were a bird in a past life! XD jk but still this is written really well. i'm impressed!
