Life of a Lime
Lime green is honeydew melon, a lime,
And the leathery skin of them both.
Lime green is the taste of sour, pucker limes
Fresh picked from the tree.
Lime green smells like Easter baskets,
And the candy that fills them.
Lime green makes me feel happy,
Like the grass blowing in the summer wind.
Lime green is the sound of the squeezing of a lime,
And the fresh opening of a sprite.
Lime green is a golf course, the tee box, far way,
And the freshly cut grass of the greens.
Lime green is the summer.
Lime green is the trees.
Lime green is the grass,
Blowing in the breeze.
Lime green is beautiful
As pretty as a dime.
Lime green is the life,
The life of a lime
