So scared of what will come to be
Frightened of my tears inevitable
All the morals I've learned and seen
Are suddenly unexplainable

My future falls away piece by piece
And everything I lose is irreplaceable
Along with Hope and Connection cease
My being and of what it's capable

The author's comments:
My best friend is moving away to another state, and I won't be seeing her until college, most probably. We might not even get into the same university. But ever since she told me, I felt as if my whole future just disappeared. I haven't imagined any life without her, especially since she opened my eyes to what world is today. She may have even taught and inspired me to write . . . This is what I wrote during my depression.
