Distant
I've lost you to this falling dusk-
felt my heart leave with the light…
My world grew a little distant,
as the day turned into night.
Your hands touching me softly…
and the fire burning in your eyes--
the kiss that left me wanting more,
as my breaths turned into sighs.
I miss your world of passion,
knowing I could have it all-
But these short days wont fade away-
As I wait for the sun to fall.
So I'll stay until the sunrise,
When the colors creep through black-
When I can rest with you again-
And when my heart can have you back.
