Music is a slate wiped clean
bringing new ideas
lyrics, emotions, and songs

Music is a complex math problem
sometimes so hard to decode
your tempted to give up
but persevere to find it's true meaning

Music is water
sometimes so clear
and pure
you can't help but say
that was easy
but missing the purification

Music is a shell
so pristine and beautiful
but so hard to crack

Music is a rock
you have to chisel it
down to the core
to find the diamond inside

Music is a wolf
fierce, beautiful
full of hunger
but for what?

Music is a typography
depicting a picture
but with words
do we know their meanings?

Music is a drug
taking over my
mind and body
possessing me

Music is a key
unlocking different
feelings, images, and opinions
each one different

Sososososososo true! I absolutely love to play/listen to music, and it is everything at the same time. This was an amazing representation of that.

the metaphors are brilliant. i never thought of music as water or a shell, but that's what it is. I think it's great that your so passionate about it. 5 stars, but i wish it could be six

Music isn't my favourite thing, but I love how you described it in your poem. Looking at your username and reading this poem, for some reason I get the feeling you like music. Now why would that be? ;)
