Crush
I’m staring at my feet, my cheeks are turning red
I’m searching for the words left unsaid, jumbled nervously inside of my head
Maybe these simple words uncovered will do best to best explain

Dodging bullets, dodging glances; no more hiding
 Not everyone gets second chances...
I can’t keep my laughter from healing all my pain
I’ll bend till I break for its all I can take
I don’t want to mess up, trip up, got to wake up
Never give up, let up, look up and get up. STAND
Like the way time stands still every time you come to mind

 You’re like another rhyme,
Lyric or song I sing in the car reasons I don’t know why
Driving down this road I’ve never been,
Taking me to places I didn’t want to go
A winding road, tell me where to start and tell me something I don’t know

Read between the heart-shaped lines, the dots over my “ i ”’s
And look to find an explanation of what I’m feeling inside
Getting sick of the ride, because you’re driving me out of my mind!

Never a moment of peace at the least
Let it go, unleash the beast
One more lap, its seems these circles never end, just face it – don’t pretend
Because love is a marathon, adrenaline rush falling for a crush
 GO! RUN RIGHT THROUGH
Yet winning first place could never come close,
 Just running into you
