What Nature Does To Me
Silence begins to grip everything in its thirst, and-
I run, run through it all, challenging everything
I’m soon soaked, chilly to the bone, but calm-
I raise my arms to the sky, embracing it all
I run, run through it all, challenging everything
I dodge left and right around trees, going faster and faster
I stop and I raise my arms to the sky, embracing it all
Drinking wildly from the silence, no one beside me, just- me
Morning is about to break, and I’m ready to race
Across the lake I swim, slowly warmed by daybreak
Rushing through the water, something rushes by me, and I look down
A world under me, purely natural, fascinating, but dark
Across the lake I swim, slowly warmed by daybreak
I power across the lake, but yet I remained relaxed
A world under me, purely natural, fascinating, but dark, powers alongside me
Everything is at peace, serenity; its sensation revitalizes me,
It’s what nature does to me.
