A young boy shook in terror
Not knowing when they
Would come
A young mother cowered in terror
Not knowing when the
Hateful words and actions
Would come
The girl shook in relief
Knowing now the hugs
Came with love and
Kindness
The young boy shook in relief
Knowing now they came
For his father
Not him
The young mother did not cower
In terror
Knowing she was safe
From haetful words and actions
The Girl
The Boy
The Mother
They were family
