Do you really believe that what you believe is really real?

Oh isn't it lovely
Being mad?
The trees are dancing
The clouds are sad

The flaming wind
Caresses my locks
And yet, what happened
To my last left sock?

Seeing things through
My twisted eyes
When others see monsters
I see doves in disguise

Some say "It's love"
Others, "It's hate"
I simply grin
Please don't think straight.

With crooked emotions
And a messed up mind
You can see the big picture
Though you drift from your kind

I'm happier though
Than people who don't
See that the daisies
Sing if they won't

But please don't
Discredit my sanity
Believe it or not,
It's better than vanity

Of the ignorant
Who are often
Disagreeably compliant,
The last nail in their coffin

You may disregard
What's just been said
Say it's pointless
'Cause I'm not right in the head

But let me just say
The view from the outside
Is even more potent
When skewed on the side

But isn't it lovely
Being mad?
The fireflies swooning
The angels are sad
