I Remember

May 3, 2011

I remember the time I met you,
You were the greatest friend.

I remember what you said,
You said, "friends till the end."

I remember a big flash of light,
I thought I was dead.

I remember laying down,
On the hospital bed.

I remember standing beside you,
Crying right beside you.

I Remember watching you,
Watching as they buried you.

But the most thing I will remember is true,
Is I will always remember you.

This is just a poem that I thought about. It represents all the ones that were lost in a car accident. I had a few family members who were in a car accident and they never made it. It felt like I was there with them, seeing everything that was happening. So I wanted to write a poem that represents the ones lost but not forgotten.
