Drenched Wine

June 18, 2008

Her heart drenched in stains of wine
Her soul and outer shell, you once considered divine
Her head foggy, with razor blades uncertain what to do
Due to the drunken words that you would spew
Not that the sober words were much better
Now her eyes are overflowing, becoming much wetter
Another moment seems too long to manage, let alone a day
What’s the point? Her soul slowly fading away
A new act begins to take control
The state of rebellion was her new goal
Former beauty queen and straight A’s got her nowhere
Simply leading to the state of despair
Such a sad story to replay again
But there wasn’t enough words to mend
Her story will replay for years to come
With vigorous mothers adding to the sum
Action needs to be taken to repair all the broken souls
Just maybe one day, there will be no more loss of control
