The Price of Freedom

June 16, 2008
By Jacquelyn Nasti, Belmar, NJ

We are all controlled by threats of misery,
Everyone's trying to stay happy,
No matter how great the cost,
If the mint,
Will continue to print,
Pieces of fake security,
That persuad you into believing that there is a guarantee,
Then why worry and why fret?
It is no longer a game,
There is no more chance in life's roulette,
No more need to experiment,
You will be safe until the day you die,
But isn't the price of your freedom,
A little to high?
