If there's goodwill on earth,
and peace for men,
this why must this end?
Why must the happiness that I've lived in so long,
go away with the christmas spirit I so long for?

Why must it disapper?
With my dreams and hopes of the years?
They don't seem to realize
that in the end,
why is there peace on earth
and goodwill to men,
if people don't seem to realize,
what it does for them!

O People just look around and see,
and see what could be,
if you'd only put your hearts a little farther forward,
and truly care and realize,
and do what your heart tells you,
you'd realize that in the end,
there can be
peace on earth and goodwill to men..
all the time.
