There is a place where space meets space
where aliens and humans form a race.
Where mars and pluto seek the same
where god and satan go insane.
To find the Glittering Stars.

No simple language is alike
where clowns forget to ride a bike.
Where cats and dogs form in groups
where in the world there are no troops.
To find the Glittering Stars.

The stars sprayed their sweltering flame
but there in the world is no soul to blame.
The sun remains as mother earth
but the world is full of her ice cold turf.
To find the Glittering Stars.

They who searched long days and nights
none could hold down their massive kites.
When the time came when their task was fulfilled
all of them cried of wondrous joy and cheered.
They had found the Glittering Stars.

The poetry of Shel Silverstein and my reading teacher inspired me to write my newly created poem.
