Addiction

Save me from the dark
Retrieve me from the deep
Give me a shoulder
Upon which I can weep
Don't call me a liar
For though I am no saint
Search as you wish
Yet no sentences did I taint
I am stuck against my will
How hard it holds me fast
Tightly bound by this small pill
When remembering my past
Cravings push me under
Heavy on my shoulders
I try alone to raise this boulder
But addiction has me
I am never to be free
Never to simply....be
