One warm summer

One warm summer
With cold nights
A little Girl
Stayed at her grandparents' house
They had a farm

Streets of the village were quite
Silence was the music
And stars were the only light
Her grandfather woke her up
Somewhere in the night
And her warm
Little blanket
He took Girl outside

She saw the miracle.
Something you see only
Once in your life.
She saw the stars shine.
Their light was very bright
She could not tell them apart
Or see the Milky Way
But she gazed
For a long time
They took her breath away.
And then she saw a shooting star
Grandfather told her
To make a wish.
And so she did.

Now all grown up
And with make up on
In the winter time
On the other side of the Globe
Girl was comming home
Early in the morning
Or maybe late night
And she looked up.
She saw that same sky.
Those same stars.

She could not tell
Them apart
Or see the Milky Way
But she gazed for long time
They took her breath away
