One life to live is all it takes,
I repeat this in my mind.
As the pain floods my brain,
I look around I'm not the worst off.
One needle in mv arm,
Two in hers,
A lovely scar belongs to him.
One life to live is all it takes.
I reach for the hand of the girl and boy,
We join together as if to say we aren't alone.
As we wince in pain we give our hands a squeeze,
Even if we are all connected through misfortune,
why do I feel like the luckiest girl on earth?
Friends are friends,
You've got one life to live.
