All I need to hear is a word
All I need to see is a sign
But it seems that all I see is a bird
And all that I can hear is a line
It would seem that it is a simple task
In this big crowded city
But everyone here wears a mask
It really is a pity
I guess I need to learn
That people aren't always true
But my stomach always seems to churn
When i think of you
The beauty of your smile
The warmth of your heart
It is such a trial
To be so far apart
The problem though is there
And I can't change your ways
You never will really care
Even at the end of your days
