No one can make you feel inferior without your consent- Eleanor Roosevelt

Life is reality
Hope is a dream
Love is never what it seems
Too complicated for words
To desolate and desperate to listen
Waiting on the outside for things to change
Vanity is society
Truth is feared
No one uses mirrors
B/c its their reflection they fear
Solace in the lies
Blissfully unawares
The pain that’s inflicted
On those who are unable to hide
Hide from the mirror
Hide from the pain
Hide from the critical eyes
Always watching; always waiting
Waiting for you to mess up
So they can hide their own faults for a few seconds more
Oh what would they do without you?
Without me? Without us?
As a mask to cover their pain

I don't know some people just don't get it. They don't see that they hurt others so much. And all so they can just hide from themselves. So they don't have to face the mirror and say "this is me"
