Maybe I could drown the hearts of poison,
Destroy the sun and drown pointless words.
Luna could not harm the day in the night,
Darkness can't kill the supported light.

How far have we come?
Only to choke and lie,
Breathing only to die.

Abandon the ever controlling night.
We've been peering into a mirror,
You may not ever like what you see, dear.
Light won't show what we want to see now.

If we hate ourselves how do we know what is right.
Sin is decay in our hearts if we don't learn to part.
If this is the end, decay must be erased to rest now.

The author's comments:
You can only see the real you if you know what is right and what is wrong. Humanity may not like what it sees if it finally sees itself for the truth.
