Seasons of Orange

Sun rays smile down on the amber ground,
Brightening a pumpkin earth covered in leaves that
Drift across copper forests with a rustling sound
Fall has arrived in terra-cotta bonfires

Away from the snow a tabby pounces out of the gloom
Glistening with vibrant carrot-like hairs that
Appear to be sprinkled across the entire living room
Winter has arrived in Mango purrs

The first signs of life appear in the petals,
Tiny delicate dresses of Marigolds that
Spread the warmth of spring as sunshine settles
Spring has arrived in dandelion fields

The peachy tints of sunburn start to appear bold
Citrus Popsicles melt underneath the sun that
Changes from tangerine to a hue that is gold
Summer has arrived in mandarin sunsets
