Sunrise
The night is coming to an end
I’ve left my life behind
The sun and sky begin to blend
I leave behind my fear
And thank life for being so kind
My last day is worthy of a tear
But only one thing comes to mind
It is not my life or the past
Not my deeds good or bad
Not that this day will be my last
My thought is not sad
It’s “What a beautiful sunrise”
The sun colors the sky red as rust
No tear shall fall as I turn to dust.
