"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." L/M

I lay here silently..
wondering what it would be like
to have a heart..yet have no life.
Sometimes I wonder where I have gone..
A little girl grown up..Sleeping with a fear of being alone.
A painted up face hides so many things..And noone can see behind the mask..noone can see the pain you bring.
You asked me to dance, no music in the air.
Just the sound of you breathing..letting me know you were there.
You whispered goodbye..our last dance now a memory.
You stole my life..
but you won't take my sanity.

I know you can find thousands of sad poems like this on the internet. My inspiration for this was simply thinking of howto cope with losing someone that meant the world to you..& them not caring how much you hurt. How much you long for them. This is my first poem for teen ink..and I hope all that reads it can relate to it in some way. That's my job. ;)
