On the eve of christmas
children excite
our mothers to kiss us
in the evening goodnight

We shut our eyes
and force our sleep
our wonderous dreams we get to keep
to wait the morning surprize

I awake early that morn
eagerly out of bed
rushing on my cloths
my feet become like lead

into my siblings room I rush
to jump on her bed
yelling christmas is upon us!
She repeats what I said

We leave her room
and hurry downstairs
in our zoom
as we pass our tree

glaring eyes fixate on the presents
happily thinking of old saint nick
like babboons we jump to our parents
saying how he was not sick

we tear our parents out of bed
them in a fuss
as we say what we said
Christmas is upon us!
