If I Could See You Again Someday
Grandma, if I could see your face again,
I know you would flash me your sweet grin.
Warming words would be exchanged
And maybe things would be changed.
I know I don’t have you for long,
So let me talk without you telling me I’m wrong.
I miss your cooking on Sundays,
And didn’t want it ever to go away.
I know you miss all of our family,
But we are doing our best, and living happily.
All I have ever wanted to do was hold your fragile hand,
And make this situation as good as we can.
Is Grandpa keeping you busy up there?
Because I notice gray has taken over your hair.
I miss you in my world,
So I tend to think about you when I get bored.
My heart aches knowing you suffered,
But I will never keep my feelings about you covered.
I will miss you, but never be in too much pain
Because I know I will see you again someday.
