Blue Skies

June 13, 2008
By Kyla Shea, Wilmington, MA

The second I step outside
All my troubles seem to dissappear
The blue sky holds a secret
That the grass whispers to it
The sound of the wind
Covers up all of my deepest promises left unsaid
The clouds hide the blemishes that appear everywhere
The flowers bring beauty
The weather sings change
And my heart becomes filled with this repairing notion that makes my mind realize everything is okay
The moment I step outside
All my pain goes away
The smile I now have tells me all this is true
When the sun smiles back and the skies remain blue.
