Footprints Washed Away
How is the shattering
of glass so silent and yet so piercing loud,
that nobody will know
pieces are lost
to a puzzle that will never be found.
How millions are forgotten and never come back,
to a place where the world stops spinning,
and everyone seems to be falling off the right track.
This might make sense to some,
and understanding
of everything I say,
but really you don't know anything unless you step
into the shoes of those
whose footprints washed away.
